Pancakes or Die

Candace and I went to Sill’s Cafe for breakfast. We had been waiting a while and were starting to wonder why the waitress hadn’t taken our order when she suddenly placed the biggest pancakes I had ever seen right in front of us.

She told us someone in the restaurant had ordered them for us, betting we couldn’t finish them.

As it turned out, it was the older gentleman sitting beside us.

He bet us $100 that we couldn’t eat all those pancakes.

So we did.

We are now each $50 richer and have absolutely no desire to eat pancakes ever again.

Staring at that Benjamin Franklin was what got us through.
